Dr. Michelle Ho is a compassionate and skilled surgeon with a special interest in “mummy makeovers” — customized procedures designed to rejuvenate and restore a woman’s body after the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth.

From tummy tucks and breast lifts to liposuction, body contouring and vulva vaginal rejuvenation, she offers a range of options that help new mothers feel revitalized and confident in their post-baby bodies. She believes that these procedures are not merely cosmetic but restorative, helping mothers regain what was lost due to the sacrifices of childbearing and child-rearing.

As a mother of five herself, she is able to connect well with her patients. Her approachable personality combined with her extensive medical expertise, makes her uniquely equipped to help women regain their confidence through tailored, life-changing procedures.

With a rich background in breast reconstruction and facial trauma surgery, Dr Ho previously worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital which is a major trauma centre. There she specialized in restoring both form and function for patients recovering from complex injuries. This foundation in reconstructive surgery has given her a keen eye for detail and a precise, artful approach to her work.

Pioneering Breast Reconstruction and Recovery

Dr. Ho also has a specialised interest in breast reconstruction, where she has accumulated extensive experience and made notable contributions to the field.

As the Breast Reconstruction Lead in the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery team in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Dr Ho played a pivotal role in introducing international protocols to support optimal recovery for breast reconstruction patients. Recognising the unique needs of her patients, she adapted these protocols to better suit the Asian context, ensuring culturally sensitive and effective care that maximises outcomes. As a result Tan Tock Seng Hospital became the first hospital in Singapore to implement these tailored ERAS guidelines, setting a new standard for patient care and recovery in breast reconstruction surgery in Singapore.

Dr Ho has a passion for teaching and was previously the Programme Director for the Plastic Surgery Residency Programme in Tan Tock Seng Hospital as well as the Associate Programme Director for the Singapore Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Programme. She has mentored many residents who are now consultants in their own right. She continues to contribute in her role as a Visiting Consultant to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
