The B.E.S.T. Way to Sustainable Weight Loss in Singapore
31 March 2026
Why We Created a Different Kind of Weight Management Programme
Weight loss is one of the most common goals patients share. Yet despite the countless diets, programmes and fitness plans available today, many people still struggle to achieve results that last.
Living in Singapore also presents its own challenges. Our schedules are busy, and many of our social interactions revolve around food — dinners with friends, family gatherings, celebrations and work events. Strict diets and rigid training programmes can quickly become difficult to maintain.
This is one of the reasons we created B.E.S.T. — an integrated weight management programme designed around sustainability and real life.
B.E.S.T. stands for:
B — Body
E — Energy
S — Strength
T — Transformation
It also reflects the philosophy behind the programme:
Believe. Evolve. Stay True.
B.E.S.T. is a doctor-led programme that combines medical expertise, nutrition coaching and strength training to support sustainable transformation.
A Personal Journey That Led to B.E.S.T.
Like many people balancing work, family and responsibilities, I understand how challenging it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Over the years — both personally and through caring for patients — I realised that many weight loss programmes fail not because people lack discipline, but because the programmes themselves are not designed for real life.
While some programs promise amazing results within a certain time frame, they often require people to suddenly adopt an entirely different lifestyle — strict meal plans, extreme diets or training routines that are difficult to maintain once the programme ends. Most of us simply do not have the luxury of time. Many of these meal plans don’t come cheap either, especially for larger families like mine. The truth is, not many of us are prepared to sacrifice our social life, missing meal gatherings just to keep to a strict meal plan or exercise regime.
Eventually many people feel discouraged and give up.
Through my own journey, I came to appreciate that real change happens differently.
It happens through small, consistent adjustments that fit into our daily lives, rather than trying to impose a completely new lifestyle that feels impossible to sustain.
The B.E.S.T. programme grew out of this philosophy.
Along the way, I was fortunate to meet and collaborate with dietitians and trainers who shared this same belief — that the most effective approach to health is one that works with our lifestyle, not against it.
Together, we curated a programme built on this shared vision.
What Celebrities Do Differently
When we see celebrities transform their bodies, it often looks effortless.
But behind the scenes, these transformations are rarely achieved alone. Celebrities often have an entire team supporting them — personal trainers, nutritionists, dietitians, doctors and sometimes even chefs planning their meals and training routines.
For most people, that level of support simply isn’t available.
The B.E.S.T. programme was designed to bring together our own version of that “celebrity team” — adapted for real people living busy lives.
Instead of trying to overhaul someone’s entire lifestyle overnight, the focus is on integrating sustainable habits into everyday life. Go slow and run far.

The B.E.S.T. Team
The programme brings together a multidisciplinary team:
Plastic Surgeon
Medical assessment, coordination of multidisciplinary care and referrals to other specialists if required, body composition guidance and aesthetic expertise.
Clinical Dietitian
Practical nutrition strategies that work within Singapore lifestyles.
Personal Trainer
Strength training to preserve muscle and build long-term fitness habits.
Together, the goal is not simply weight loss, but improving Body, Energy, Strength and overall Transformation.
Real Support in Real Life
Another important part of the B.E.S.T. programme is that patients are not navigating this journey alone.
All enrolled patients are part of a dedicated WhatsApp support group, where they can receive guidance from the multidisciplinary team throughout the programme.
This allows patients to ask practical, everyday questions that arise in real life — whether it is how to make healthier choices when ordering from a restaurant menu, what to buy at the supermarket, or how to adjust meals and exercise routines during busy weeks.
For patients starting on GLP -1 medications, real time guidance is provided when it comes to managing any side effects and missed dosages.
For those with a gym in their home or condominium, many are afraid or hesitant to venture in on their own due to lack of knowledge or confidence to use the equipment safely. Our trainers can do a home visit to guide you through using your equipment so that you are confident enough to put in extra sessions in between your training sessions.
This personalised touch and real-time interaction helps bridge the gap between clinic visits/dietician consultations/training sessions and everyday life, where many of the real challenges occur.
More importantly, it reflects the philosophy behind B.E.S.T. — that sustainable change happens through ongoing guidance and small adjustments that fit naturally into daily routines.
A Different Philosophy of Weight Management
Many programmes promise rapid results in a short period of time.
However, the challenge with extreme diets or rigid routines is that they are often difficult to sustain.
The philosophy behind B.E.S.T. is different.
Instead of asking patients to adopt a completely new lifestyle, we focus on making realistic changes that can be integrated into everyday life — whether that means learning how to eat better while dining out, building sustainable exercise habits, or improving body composition gradually over time.
Because the goal is not short-term weight loss.
It is long-term health and sustainable transformation.
